Aquatic Mammals Foundation

The Foundation protects the environment with a focus on manatees and other aquatic mammals in Pernambuco, Piauí, Sergipe and Alagoas. Its activities comprise managing scientific research, studying the anthropogenic effects on marine resources, and supporting related public policies and regulatory frameworks. It also promotes the need for balance in socio-economic-environmental development through partnerships, collaboration and public awareness campaigns.
